Maryville Junior High School hired Cope Architecture to provide additions and renovations of an expansion to the existing Junior High School to support Maryville City School’s desire to convert the exiting school back to a 6th – 8th grade Junior High School. The interior renovations to the school involve updating the existing administration area to allow better access to the administration to the staff and public. Renovating space to house a new clinic to better serve the students, and renovations to several classrooms to update their functionality for new programming.

The addition to the school consists of a free standing two story 11 classroom addition. The addition is sited in a grassy area adjacent to a staff parking area that will be expanded as part of the addition. A new pedestrian bridge will be constructed to connect the second story of the existing Junior High School to the second story of the new addition.
